Peaches' son 'found next to dead body'

Peaches Geldof was reportedly found dead with her 11-month-old son by her side in circumstances eerily similar to her own mother Paula Yates' death.

Geldof's rockstar husband Thomas Cohen, 23, raised the alarm and asked a friend to visit their Wrotham home when his wife failed to answer the phone on Monday, The Sun reports.

The friend reportedly discovered the mother-of-two's body with her baby son Phaedra beside her, after she died in so-far unexplained circumstances.

When Paula Yates was found dead in Notting Hill in 2000, Peaches' four-year-old sister Tiger Lily was found by a family friend playing near the body.

A source close to the family revealed fears the incident may leave Phaedra traumatised.

"The hope is that Phaedra was so young he wasn't aware of what was going on," a friend of the family told The Sun.

"The most important is that he's okay. It is devastating for Tom that he wasn't there but it couldn't have been avoided.

The news comes after a coronial inquiry failed to find a cause for the model's sudden death.

Geldof's body has now been released back to the family and her funeral will be held at the church in Kent where her own mother's took place.
