Two teens charged with murder over alleged stabbing in Sydney's west

Two teens have been charged after a young man was stabbed near a major shopping centre in Sydney's west. 

Emergency services were called to Fitzwilliam Street in Parramatta about 5am yesterday following reports a man had been critically injured.

Tino Henry, 20, was found on the street near the Parramatta Westfield complex with serious stab wounds. 

He was treated at the scene before being rushed to Westmead Hospital, where he later died. 

"Despite the best efforts of paramedics and bystanders he passed away at hospital," NSW paramedics told 9NEWS.

A crime scene was established in Prince Alfred Square, where police believe a dispute started.

And just minutes later, a few hundred metres away in nearby Hassall Street, three young men were arrested.

A 17-year-old boy has since been charged with murder and refused bail.

He will appear before a children’s court today.

A 20-year-old man has been charged with affray and released on conditional bail.

He is set to front Parramatta Local Court on October 31.

A 16-year-old boy has been released from police custody, pending further inquiries.

Authorities are now relying on a number of CCTV cameras in the area to help them with the investigation.
