Intended target of Sydney shooting identified as alleged Alameddine member
The intended target of a brazen shooting in Sydney has been identified as alleged Alameddine member Samimjan Azari.
Azari was one of four people in a Toyota Hilux that gunmen opened fire on in Parramatta about 5pm on Sunday. He was arrested and charged with firearms offences just minutes after the attempt on his life.
Two of the men, alleged Allamadine associate Dawood Zakaria and solicitor Sylvan Singh, were injured.

Zakaria was rushed to hospital in a critical condition and police said yesterday that he was not expected to survive.
Singh was shot multiple times and was in a stable condition.
It's believed Azari, who was in the back seat with his bodyguard Levi Vitukawalu, was the target of the shooting.
Footage from the scene shows Azari and Vitukawalu with bags tied around their hands by police in a bid to conserve evidence before the pair were arrested.
A court heard that it had been the second attempt on Azari's life.

"We're looking at all incidents that have occurred in the last couple of months to see if there is a connection," Detective Superintendent Jason Box said.
In light of recent shootings, prosecutors argued that Azari should not be released on bail.
"Mr Azari is at the epicentre of this particular tit for tat gangland warfare," prosecutors said.
"The streets will not be safe, it's all because Mr Azari and the Allamadine criminal network."
Azari was granted bail, with the magistrate telling the court he believes Azari wasn't a flight risk and that the firearms charges case was weak.
