Thousands raised for kids left parentless after WA crash
A community is rallying around four children who lost their parents in a car crash, with thousands of dollars already raised.
Perth couple Jim and Sabine Mather were celebrating their seventh wedding anniversary on a rare trip alone.
They were returning from Capel, south of Perth, when they were killed in a head-on collision on the Bussell Highway on Sunday.

Already, more than $20,000 has been raised for their four children left behind.
"Dealing with the loss of close family members but also trying to raise the boys who are also going through that loss is going to be really hard," cousin Fabienne McKirdy said.
Jethro, seven, and Isaac, five, have been left orphaned and will now be raised by their grandparents.

Jim Mather's two teen daughters have been left without a father.
"They lived for what their children did," uncle Don McKirdy said.
Childcare worker Sabine and boat repairer Jim were due to settle on the purchase of their first home together this Friday.

They'd already booked tradies for renovations and bought toys for the pool.
The couple have been remembered as caring, and loved by all they met.
"I just can't believe this has happened, and I just don't know how we're going to get through it," Fabienne McKirdy said.
