Parachutist dies after accident in rural Queensland
A man has died after a parachuting accident near a property in rural Queensland.
Emergency services were called to an address on Meandarra Talwood Road at Tarawera, located about 260km west of Toowoomba, about 8.10am on Tuesday morning.

Queensland Police confirmed to 9News the incident was a mishap involving a parachute and the patient was treated with life-threatening injuries.
Ambulance crews and a rescue helicopter were called and the man was declared dead at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is now investigating the incident.
