Palmer, Wang split on road safety body

Clive Palmer and his party's sole senator Dio Wang are split on the axing of a road safety tribunal.

Senator Wang sided with other crossbenchers to give the government the numbers it needed to abolish the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal on Monday night.

But just hours later, his party leader Mr Palmer attended a Transport Workers Union rally outside Parliament House in Canberra wearing a "Safe Rates" T-shirt in support of the tribunal.
