Family and friends pay tribute to boy, 16, killed in horror crash in Pakenham
Family and friends have tonight paid tribute to a 16-year-old boy who was killed in a collision on the outskirts of Melbourne yesterday afternoon.
Kai McDonald was sitting in the front passenger seat of an allegedly stolen Audi that is alleged to have run a red light and crashed into a Subaru station wagon on the Princes Highway in Pakenham, just after 4pm.
The luxury car then rolled several metres down the road before smashing into a nearby tree and power pole.

The driver of the Audi, another 16-year-old from Pakenham was airlifted to The Alfred hospital in a critical condition. Nine
McDonald was rushed to hospital but died from his injuries.

A 15-year-old boy, seated in the rear seat of the vehicle, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

McDonald is being remembered by family and friends tonight as fearless, loyal and whole hearted, with his mother telling The Age he was "just perfect".
Detectives believe the Audi was stolen during an aggravated burglary in Cranbourne North in the early hours of Sunday morning.
They are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or with information to contact police.
