Oscar-winning actress Patty Duke, star of the 1960s sitcom 'The Patty Duke Show', has died at age 69.
Her representative, Mitchell Stubbs, confirmed her death in a statement on Tuesday.

"Anna 'Patty Duke' Pearce passed away this morning March 29, 2016 at 1.20am," the statement read.
"Her cause of death was sepsis from a ruptured intestine.
"She was a wife, mother, a grandmother, a friend, a mental health advocate and a cultural icon.
"She will be missed."
Duke won the Academy Award for best supporting actor at age 16 for her role in the 1962 film 'The Miracle Worker'.
