A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found stabbed to death inside a home on the NSW mid-north coast last night.
The 53-year-old man was arrested after police forced their way through the door of the home at Taree and found a 49-year-old woman dead and another woman, 39, with a stab wound to her abdomen.
The injured woman was treated by paramedics at the scene before she was taken to Manning Base Hospital.
Police said she received sutures and was later released.
The man was taken to Taree Police Station where he was charged with murder, wounding with intent and breaching a domestic violence order.
He was refused bail to appear in Taree Local Court today.
