One of the world's oldest and biggest crocodiles turns 120

One of the world's oldest and largest known crocodiles has celebrated a milestone birthday in South Africa.

Henry, who turned 120-years-old on Wednesday, is understood to be the oldest known Nile crocodile in captivity.

The resident of the Crocworld Conservation Centre on the KwaZulu-Natal south coast was thrown a birthday bash by staff and treated to his favourite meaty dish.

Henry is large croc, weighing in at 700 kilograms and his five metres long.

He arrived at Crocworld back in 1985 when he was just 85-years-old.

In his time at the sanctuary he has fathered more than 10,000 children to six of his female co-habitants.
