One Nation tops latest poll to dethrone Labor again
Pauline Hanson’s One Nation is Australia’s most popular political party again, according to the latest polling.
The latest monthly AFR/Redbridge Group/Accent Research poll released by The Australian Financial Review on Sunday showed a slight rebound for the party, following a dip last month as Hanson’s comments on multiculturalism dominated the political agenda.

The right-wing populist party’s primary vote rose two percentage points to 31 as Labor dropped one point to 29 in the latest polling.
Both changes are inside the poll’s margin of error, which was 3.3 per cent.
It technically gives a narrow lead back to One Nation, which first took it in May after the federal budget.
There’s better news for the Coalition, which increased four points to 22 as the Greens lost four points, falling to just 10 per cent of the primary vote.
Anthony Albanese remains the preferred prime minister (32 per cent) but his 10-point lead over Hanson shrunk to just eight points.
Angus Taylor’s net favorability rating improved by 3 points to minus 6, Hanson’s remains unchanged at minus 10 and Albanese’s dropped a point to minus 19.
The poll of 1001 voters was taken from Monday to Thursday last week.
Redbridge director Tony Barry told the AFR the situation more resembled that just after the federal budget.
“After losing some vote share following Pauline Hanson’s speech to the National Press Club, One Nation’s support has returned to its previous high level, indicating that for their base, grievance mobilises more reliably than policy,” he said.
“Labor continues to lose positioning on issues performance measures, which complicates their pathway back to their election primary vote of 34.5 per cent.

“Voters will only forgive you for breaking a promise if you are eventually proven right.”
Earlier this month Hanson was accused of victim-blaming after declaring domestic violence is a “two-way street”.
She also faced questions about taking funding from Gina Rinehart after she revealed the mining billionaire paid for flights during a recent trip to Europe.

Earlier this month, the latest Resolve Political Monitor for The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age showed support for One Nation dropping for the first time in months to 26 per cent of the primary vote, handing Labor back a narrow lead with 28 per cent.
