One dead after car collides with truck in Victoria

A man has died after his car collided with a truck in Ballan, north-west of Melbourne this morning.

Police are investigating the fatal crash which is believed to have occurred about 7am.

It’s understood the car was travelling toward Ballarat on the Western Freeway, before it crossed the centre median strip and collided with a truck.

The two people in the truck were not injured.

Investigations into the crash are continuing.
