Two women sexually assaulted in Darwin

Two women have been sexually assaulted in separate incidents in Darwin but police do not believe the attacks are linked.

Northern Territory Police say a 25-year-old woman was walking through a shopping centre car park on Trower Road at about 10pm on Wednesday when she was allegedly approached from behind by an unknown man, who dragged her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.

Then just after midnight, a 34-year-old woman who was sleeping near a CBD street corner was also allegedly sexually assaulted.
