Soldiers coax baby crocodile from underneath four-wheel-drive

Soldiers have been filmed coaxing a baby crocodile from underneath a four-wheel-drive at Robertson Barracks in the Northern Territory.

Video obtained by 9NEWS showed the snappy reptile lurking near the wheel of the vehicle parked at the Barracks.

“Imagine if it just runs out at ya…oh s---,” one unseen soldier from the first Combat Engineer Regiment said, before prodding the animal with what appeared to be a jacket.

“He’s gonna run one of us…he’s hissing,” another said.

The freshwater croc then lunged at the camera before scurrying away to nearby bushes.

It was later captured and handed over to a professional animal handler.
