NT man charged with domestic violence

A man has been charged with serious domestic violence offences in Alice Springs.

The 31-year-old was on Monday accused of offences including the deprivation of liberty, being armed with an offensive weapon, aggravated assault and animal cruelty, police say.

The man, who was allegedly avoiding police over an arrest warrant issued in February, will appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
