Man charged over NT hospital assault

A man receiving treatment for a seizure has allegedly punched a female health worker in the face in an incident at the Alice Springs Hospital.

The 51-year-old man has been charged with assault in relation to the attack on Sunday.

It is alleged he punched the 31-year-old woman once to the face causing minor injuries, police say.

The man has been remanded in custody to appear in the Alice Springs Magistrates Court on January 7.
