Man accused of metal pole assault in NT

A man has been accused of attacking a woman with a metal pole and knocking another man unconscious in a string of assaults in the Northern Territory.

The 28-year-old assaulted a woman with a metal police in a remote community last week, police allege.

He is also accused of knocking a man unconscious in a remote settlement earlier in October and assaulting another women near Alice Springs in August.

The suspect, arrested in Alice Springs on Tuesday, was refused bail to appear in court on Wednesday charged with three counts of aggravated assaulted and being armed with an offensive weapon.
