Labor won't challenge tight NT seat loss

The Northern Territory Labor Party won't be contesting the NT election result in the seat of Nhulunbuy which Independent candidate Yingiya Guyula won ahead of Labor's Lynn Walker by just eight votes.

Chief Minister Michael Gunner says territorians need certainty about who will represent them in the NT parliament.

"We now know the 25-seat parliament, and I want to reaffirm my commitment to work constructively with each and every member," Mr Gunner said in a statement on Monday.
