Firearms stolen from NT home

Five firearms and ammunition have been stolen from a house in Palmerston in the Northern Territory.

Police say they don't know how many people broke into the home on Thursday, managing to take two gun safes.

"Five firearms were taken along with ammunition from the other safe, obviously we are very concerned," said Detective Senior Sergeant Robert Jordan.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area of Farrar in Palmerston between 5.30am and 6pm on Thursday to contact them.
