Coalition offers $100m to seal Outback Way

Quality of life for people in remote areas will be improved through an investment in sealing the remainder of the Outback Way, Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce says.
A re-elected coalition government will invest $100 million in sealing the remainder of the Outback Way highway running from Queensland to Western Australia.
The 2800-kilometre route links Winton in Queensland with Laverton in WA via Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, which Mr Joyce says is "a crucial link across the heart of Australia".
