NT government urged to act on abuse claim

The Northern Territory government has been taken to task over its inaction on abuse claims at a youth detention centre.
A report released in August found guards were overusing hoods, handcuffs, solitary confinement and tear gas.
If these findings are true, the inhumane management of the Don Dale youth detention centre incident is a blight against Australia's human rights profile, Law Council of Australia director Arthur Moses said on Friday.
