NT driver uses good manners to get crocodiles off the road

A Northern Territory man has filmed the moment he politely asked two crocodiles to quit blocking the road in Arnhem Land.

When tour guide operator, Darren Nickolls, approached Cahills Crossing in his car, he found it blocked by the stubborn locals.

The entrance into Kakadu National Park, over the East Alligator River, is notorious for being infested with the animals.

Instead of yelling, honking his horn, or slowly approaching the reptiles in his vehicle, he approached the crocs on foot.

“Do you want to get off the road so we can pass please?” Mr Nickolls politely said. “C’mon, you too, move, thank you,” he added.

His candid chat appeared to work with both creatures sliding into the dark water, seemingly on command.

We know they breed them tough in the NT, but it appears they raise them with manners too.
