Women in court over Coffs Harbour assault

Two women have faced court after allegedly forcing another woman into a car in Coffs Harbour in regional NSW at the weekend and assaulting her with knives.

The pair have been charged with wounding intending grievous bodily harm, taking a person and larceny.

A 34-year-old woman has been treated for injuries to her face and feet after allegedly being forced into a car by two men and two women on the Pacific Highway early on Sunday morning.

Stella Roberts, 30, and Tryphena Roberts, 28, were bailed to reappear at the Coffs Harbour Local Court on December 15

Police say they have also arrested two men, aged 33 and 25, over the assault.

Police allege the victim was assaulted inside the car while being driven around the area, before being taken to a Coffs Harbour residence where she was unable to leave.
