A woman who fell off a lookout in the Blue Mountains while trying to retrieve her mobile phone is improving in hospital.
Donna Christie, 44, plunged off the edge of Hassans Walls Lookout near Lithgow on Tuesday afternoon while bushwalking with family.
She was left fighting for her life after she fell about 30m onto rocks below and suffered spinal and head injuries, a NSW Ambulance spokeswoman said.
