Woman pinned by 4WD in NSW

An ongoing dispute may have led to a woman being pinned between two four-wheel drives in Sydney's southwest, police say.

A 46-year-old man has been charged after allegedly driving onto a footpath in his landcruiser and pinning the 50-year-old woman against another 4WD at Busby late on Friday night.

Police say he then reversed, before mounting a gutter and hitting a fence and stationary vehicle in a nearby street.

The 46-year-old man, who has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent and drive whilst disqualified, is due to appear in Paramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

The woman suffered compound fractures to her legs, a fractured pelvis and lacerations to her head.

She was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition and will need to undergo surgery.
