Woman dies after being pulled from NSW Snowy Mountains lake

A woman has died after she was pulled from a lake in New South Wales' Snowy Mountains region.
Emergency services were called to a boat ramp on Kosciuszko Road at Lake Jindabyne just before 5.30pm yesterday.

Witnesses told police she was swimming and then disappeared under the water and failed to resurface.
Paramedics used a paddle board to get out on the lake and pulled the woman out, but she died a short time later.
Police said she is believed to be a 36-year-old woman.
An investigation is underway.
