Woman dead after Sydney car crash
A woman has died after being thrown from a car during a collision in Sydney's inner-west.
Emergency services were called to the crash between a Ford Falcon and a Ford Transit van on Unwins Bridge Road, St Peters, at 7am on Sunday.
Police said a woman was thrown from the car on impact and died at the scene.
"We're still in the process of identifying," a police spokesman told AAP.
The drivers of both vehicles had minor injuries and were taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital for mandatory testing.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information surrounding the incident should contact the authorities, police say.
Unwins Bridge Road has been closed in both directions and drivers are advised to use an alternate route or avoid the area.
