Woman attacks cops as man hides under bed

A woman has allegedly punched a police officer and shoved another to try to stop them searching for a wanted man, who was found hiding under her bed.

Officers were searching for a 24-year-old man who had fled during a licence check on the NSW south coast, leaving his 32-year-old female passenger in the car on Thursday afternoon.

Two hours later police searching the woman's Nowra home but she allegedly blocked their path, pushed an officer and punched another, insisting the driver was not there.

The woman was arrested and a search of the house found the man hiding under the bed.

The pair have both been charged.
