Woman, 54, glassed at Sydney dance party

A woman in her 50s has been hit on the head with a champagne bottle, allegedly by another woman, at a dance party in Sydney.

The 54-year-old was allegedly struck in the back of the head at about 9pm on Saturday at the Marrickville Town Hall during a themed party called "The Farmer Wants a Drag Queen'.

She was taken to RPA hospital for treatment.

A 59-year-old woman has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and is due to face Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
