Out of control NSW fire warning downgraded
AAP
A watch and act warning has been downgraded as conditions have eased for firefighters battling a bushfire in the NSW Riverina region.
Two helicopters and 25 fire trucks have been tackling an out of control 153 hectare blaze at the Snowy Mountains Highway in Tumut on New Year's Day.
The Rural Fire Service has downgraded the warning to an advice level following easing conditions and lighter winds.
