Vic couple killed in NSW road crash

A Victorian couple has been killed after their ute towing a caravan collided with a B-double carrying cattle on a highway in southern NSW.

The 66-year-old driver and his wife, aged 65, died in the Cobb Highway crash near Wanganella, 120 kilometres north of the Victorian border on Thursday afternoon.

Local police told the Deniliquin Pastoral Times it appears the couple's vehicle may have veered into the path of the B-double as it tried to overtake.

The 27-year-old driver of the B-double was not injured in the crash but underwent mandatory testing, NSW Police said in a statement.
