Two western Sydney unit blocks evacuated
AAP
Two apartment blocks have been evacuated in western Sydney amid concerns the buildings could collapse.
Emergency services were called to a construction site on Parkes Street in Harris Park at 6pm on Saturday after safety concerns were raised regarding neighbouring buildings.
Police said recent severe weather appeared to have caused excessive soil erosion and affected the structural integrity of the site.

Approximately 60 residents from three apartment buildings next to the site stayed with friends or family for the night as a precaution.
Police said it was not known when they would be able to return to their homes.
