Two men in hospital after Sydney fights

Two men are set to face Sydney courts over separate fights that have left two men in hospital.

Police say a 50-year-old man stabbed another man, 30, at Potts Point about 3.30am on Friday outside a fast food outlet.

The alleged victim was taken to St Vincent's Hospital for suspected facial fractures and head wounds.

The 50-year-old has been charged with reckless wounding in company causing grievous bodily harm and affray and is expected to face Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.

In a separate incident in Sydney's CBD, a 41-year-old man allegedly assaulted two men after they argued inside a fast food outlet on the corner of Pitt and Park Streets.

Police say the man assaulted a 38-year-old, who was taken to hospital, and his friend about 12.30am on Saturday.

The 41-year-old has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and assault and has been granted conditional bail before he faces the Downing Centre Local Court on March 23.
