Two men arrested following Sydney pursuit

A car has crashed into the front of a house following a police pursuit in Sydney's southwest.

Police say the Holden Commodore sedan was going above the 60km/h speed limit when it failed to stop at St Helens Park about 7.15pm on Thursday.

Officers began a pursuit in which they say the vehicle reached speeds of 150km/h.

The pursuit was terminated due to safety concerns when the car was driven onto a grass reserve at Rosemeadow.

A short time later officers were told a car had crashed into a home on Englorie Park Drive at Glen Alpine.

A 21-year-old man believed to be the front-seat passenger of the car was arrested and a 24-year-old man was chased by a member of the public and arrested shortly afterwards.

Both men were taken to Campbelltown Police Station then to Liverpool Hospital for medical treatment, where they remain under police guard.

Police say neither man was injured and charges are expected to be laid on Friday.

No one in the home was injured and the front porch of the home received minor damage.
