Two injured after Rural Fire Service rolls down embankment in NSW

Two Rural Fire Service volunteers have been injured after a firetruck rolled down an embankment on the NSW Central Coast.

Emergency services were called to Wisemans Ferry Road at Spencer at around 8pm last night and found the truck and its passengers had rolled down an embankment off the side of the road.

One of the men suffered suspected spinal injuries as was airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital for treatment, while another suffered a broken collarbone and was taken to Gosford Hospital.

The RFS truck remains down the side of the road and attempts to tow it will be made later today.

Police said investigations into the crash are continuing.
