Two charged over western Sydney assault

Two men have been charged over an alleged assault in western Sydney that has left a 58-year-old in a critical condition.
The Lethbridge Park man was attacked with a blunt object before 2am on Friday when the pair entered his house, but police say three other men who were there at the time escaped uninjured.
The victim was taken to Westmead Hospital with serious head injuries.

About 9pm Friday, police arrested a 21-year-old man at a property in Blackett.
Two hours later, a 40-year-old man was also arrested after attending Mt Druitt Police Station.
Both men face charges of wounding and grievous bodily harm with intent to murder.
The victim remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
