Truck driver escapes inferno in Sydney’s inner-west

A truck driver has been lucky to escape a blaze that completely destroyed his vehicle’s cabin in Sydney’s inner-west tonight.

Fire crews were called to Homebush Bay Drive in Homebush around 7:30pm with the truck already well alight.

It is believed the truck was carrying wood chips and mulch, possibly escalating the inferno which saw the driver’s cabin entirely burnt out.

The driver reportedly suffered minor burns to his hands.
