Trio charged with Sydney apartment murder
Three men have appeared in court after the alleged stabbing murder of a 29-year-old man inside a southwest Sydney unit.
Joseph Nehme, 27, and Viliami Taufahema, 35, faced Waverley Local Court on Tuesday while Bilal Rahim, 29, appeared in Burwood Local Court.
All three have been charged with murder, with Nehme and Taufahema facing additional charges of armed robbery and assault with intent to rob.
The 29-year-old victim was stabbed multiple times about 2.45am on Saturday and died at the scene after the trio allegedly forced entry into the William Street apartment.
A 59-year-old woman was also treated for minor injuries.
The trio did not apply for bail when their case was mentioned in court on Tuesday.
Nehme and Taufahema are next scheduled to appear in Bankstown Local Court on February 4, and Rahim is due to face that court on December 18.
