Tourist spends night drifting on surfboard
AAP
A Japanese tourist has spent a night adrift in the ocean on a surfboard after being washed out to sea in waters off southern NSW.
The 37-year old was found on Friday morning, about 16 hours after he drifted out on Thursday, by crew on a ship about 6km east of Bulli and was brought aboard and taken to Port Kembla Harbour.
The man was taken to hospital as a precaution and police have informed the Japanese consulate.
