A toddler found unresponsive on the edge of a river on Sydney's outskirts has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Police on Saturday said a witness performed CPR on the two-year-old at the bank of the Hawkesbury River in North Richmond about 3pm on Friday before she was taken to Westmead Children's Hospital.
A hospital spokeswoman on Saturday was unable to update the girl's condition.
