Toddler dies after struck by ute in Taree

A toddler has died after being hit by a car in the driveway of a home on NSW's Mid North Coast.

The 20-month-old girl was reportedly struck by a ute at a home in Taree about 5pm on Tuesday. The child was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Manning Rural Referral Hospital where she later died.

The male driver of the ute, a 24-year-old man, has been sent for blood and urine testing.
