Three people die on NSW roads

Three people have died on NSW roads in two separate accidents in the space of less than an hour.

Police said a 26-year-old male motorcyclist died about 1pm on Friday after hitting a tree in Aberglassyn, near Maitland in the Hunter region.

Less than an hour later, two people died in a two-vehicle crash in Wilton, on Sydney's southwestern outskirts.

The driver of a Mitsubishi Colt, a woman aged in her 60s, and the passenger, a man aged between 70 and 80, died at the scene.

The driver of the other car, an 18-year-old man, has been airlifted to Liverpool Hospital in a serious condition but with non-life threatening injuries.
