Third charged over Dubbo shooting

A third person has been charged over the shooting of a man forced to drive himself to hospital in western NSW.

The 24-year-old was shot in the thigh after meeting with a group of people on a rural property in November.

He drove himself to Dubbo hospital where he required surgery.

Police on Wednesday arrested a man, allegedly found with a large hunting knife, cannabis and cash after fleeing a motorbike crash between Narromine and Dubbo.

The 20-year-old was charged with a number of firearm offences, domestic violence and traffic offences.

He was refused bail and is expected to face Dubbo Local Court again in January.

Two teenagers, aged 18 and 16, were earlier charged over the shooting and will also face court in Dubbo next month.
