The backyard Sydney tent being offered for $130 per week
A tent in the backyard of Sydney home has been put up for rent online for $130 per week.
The unconventional space in Sydenham, in the city’s inner-west, appeared on Facebook group “Inner West Housemates” yesterday.
It was advertised for $130 per week, plus $200 bond and cleaning duties for the successful renter.
“You would have to be quite clean and take on cleaning in the house,” the tenant wrote.
“This includes washing up, drying and putting away dishes after every meal.”
The rental price includes all bills and “$100 per week of communal food”.
“You would be sharing with five people that over time have become like a family.
“We would appreciate someone chilled out and communal minded.”
The tent was also reportedly listed on Airbnb for $22 per night yesterday morning before being removed, according to the Daily Telegraph.
The administrators of the Inner West Housemates group told the news outlet the listing “will not be taken down.”
