Teenager charged with Sydney armed robbery

A 14-year-old boy has been charged with the armed robbery of a delivery man in Sydney.

The teenager allegedly threatened a 20-year-old driver with a gun while he was delivering food in inner-city Waterloo on Monday night, then stole his mobile phone, police say.

Officers arrested the teenager the following day in Waterloo and allegedly found a replica firearm and a knife.

The boy's home was searched and a number of items were also seized.

He is due to face Children's Court on Wednesday charged with armed robbery, carrying a weapon and robbery in company.
