Teen motorcyclist killed in NSW collision

A teenager has been killed and another seriously injured in a crash in NSW's Hunter Valley.

The two 17-year-olds were riding their motorcycles on Sunday afternoon when they collided head-on with a 4WD.

One of the riders was thrown from his bike and died at the scene. The second rider suffered serious injuries including fractures to his skull, arm and lower legs, as well as internal injuries.

The 59-year-old driver of the 4WD was taken to Singleton Hospital for mandatory tests.

Police say they do not expect to lay any charges.
