A teenager has allegedly been found with more than 200 ecstasy tablets after he was busted on a NSW train for not having a ticket.

Police say the 19-year-old man was on a southbound train when he was spoken to at Wyong, on the state's Central Coast.

A search revealed he was carrying 238 ecstasy tablets, as well as MDMA capsules, cannabis, diazepam and a knife, police say.

He will face court charged with seven offences, including supply of an indictable quantity of a prohibited drug, in Gosford Local Court on Friday.
