Major delays on Sydney trains due to repair works

Sydney commuters are experiencing major delays this evening, due to earlier repair work at Ashfield station.
Buses are replacing trains between Hornsby and Berowra, Blacktown and Richmond, Penrith and Emu Plains and between Campbelltown and Macarthur.
Sydney Trains said trains are running regularly across the network but commuters should be wary of some changes to timetabled services.
"Customers are advised to listen to station announcements, check indicator boards or visit our website and Twitter channels for updates," a Sydney Trains spokesperson told 9NEWS.

T1 Northern Line
T1 Western Line

Blue Mountains Line
Central Coast & Newcastle Line
