Sydney shoppers evacuated from David Jones

Christmas shoppers have been rushed out of David Jones after the retailer's flagship Sydney store filled with smoke.

Around 300 people were evacuated from the main store on Castlereagh St on Monday afternoon.

NSW Fire and Rescue are investigating the building's lift motor room.
