Sydney schoolkids devour world's largest halal snack pack

A group of Sydney schoolboys have taken on the immense task of eating what is possibly the world's largest halal snack pack at a restaurant in Parramatta.

In an epic lunch that is rapidly going viral, about 25 boys from Amity College ordered a $600 snack pack from Istanbul in Parra last week.

"We had a $500 snack pack from before, and they wanted to break that record, so they called me, saying we were going to come with 25 boys to break this record," Istanbul in Parra's Sel Guccuk told nine.com.au.

"The whole process took us an hour to prepare, they were eating for an hour and a half."

The leftovers were given to homeless people in a nearby park, so no food was wasted.

Mr Guccuk told nine.com.au they were expecting even bigger orders in the future.

Originating in Sydney, the halal snack pack or HSP consists of doner meat, cheese and various sauces on a bed of hot chips.
